Diethyltellurium can be used to prepare infrared detection materials and is an essential raw material for the synthesis of HgCdTe/CdTe/GaAs multilayer heterostructures by metal organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD). These materials are the foundation for the production of third-generation infrared materials, and the infrared detectors produced from them can be used in various fields such as missile guidance, infrared remote sensing, laser communication, infrared radar, and so on. The application of diethyl tellurium in the electronics industry is mainly manifested in the following aspects: Organic solar cells: There have been some breakthroughs in the application of diethyltellurium in organic solar cells. Due to the limitations of organic materials, the efficiency of organic solar cells has been relatively low. By introducing diethyl tellurium as the absorption layer material of organic solar cells, the photoelectric conversion efficiency can be significantly improved, and the light absorption characteristics are good in a wide spectral range. There are field effect transistors (OFET) : Diethyl tellurium can be used in OFET as an organic semiconductor material. When diethyl tellurium is introduced into OFET, it can significantly improve the carrier mobility of organic materials, thus improving the working speed and performance of OFET. Photodetector: A photodetector is a device that converts light signals into electrical signals. Diethyltellurium has excellent photoelectric conversion efficiency and fast response speed, and has shown good performance in photodetectors, which is of great significance for the development of wireless communication, security monitoring and other fields. Organic light-emitting diode (OLED) : Diethyltellurium can be used as a light-emitting layer material, because of its high fluorescence quantum efficiency and long life characteristics, can improve the brightness and stability of OLED, and further promote the application of OLED in the field of display equipment.
Storage conditions
Room temperature, sealed, dark, ventilated and dry place
Diethyltellurium is non corrosive and can be packaged with materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, brass, polytetrafluoroethylene, and polytetraethylene at room temperature. The metal organic compound is anaerobic and anaerobic, and ignites spontaneously in the air. Therefore, the reaction must be carried out in an inert gas atmosphere. The reaction device is located inside the exhaust cabinet. Staff should wear fire-resistant gloves, boots, aprons, asbestos protectors dipped in lead or fiberglass protectors dipped in aluminum. The workplace must be equipped with fire-resistant asbestos covers, carbon dioxide fire extinguishers (for extinguishing small fires), and dry powder fire extinguishing agents. In practice, considering metal particle pollution, stainless steel bubble bottles with inner wall coating are used for packaging. Ensure that the valve connection is unobstructed, the bottle space is filled with high-purity nitrogen for protection, and then close the valve tightly and tighten the head. High purity diethyl tellurium should be stored in a refrigerator.
